32nd Annual Emma Crawford Coffin Races

Coffins race down Manitou Avenue on the Saturday before Halloween, a tradition the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce started in 1995 as the first coffin races in the nation. On Saturday, October 24, 2026 the fan zone in the 700 block opens at 10 am, the parade starts at noon, and the races follow the parade at about 1 to 2 pm in the 900 block of Manitou Avenue. The after-party entertainment runs 2 to 5 pm at Soda Springs Park. Free; limited ADA access. The Chamber’s page links a road-closure map and a parking-and-shuttles page.
